Free study guides
Start with a complete example
If your goal is to accompany a dancer or singer, first watch an example that includes them. The sevillanas sample lets you hear the guitar in the setting it serves. Listen to the whole performance once, without trying to copy every note.
Learn one compás before adding more material
Use the basic soleá compás lesson as a focused study session. Listen to the demonstrated pattern, follow it at a comfortable pace, then return to the same small section. You do not need to collect a new phrase every time you practice.
Connect the explanation with the performance
The Alegrías structure lesson and the full accompaniment example are a useful pair. Start with the explanation, then watch the performance. Write down a section or cue that you recognize in both.
Make a small study plan you can repeat
Pick one lesson and give yourself a concrete task: recognize an ending, repeat a short pattern, or follow a musical cue. Write the task before you start. Afterward, record what you could do and where you lost your place.
